They are driven by the passion of the owner, Orrin Wade, a past steer wrestler and team roping competitor, along with his children who actively participate in high school and amateur rodeo; the family tradition continues to thrive!
Big O Rodeo Company’s ranch manager and pick-up man is Jim Berry – a 13-time CFR qualifier, and 10-time Calgary Stampede qualifier saddle bronc rider. Together, they are dedicated to providing top-notch stock tailored for riders of all calibers!

THE VOICE – ANNOUNCER TYSON PIETSCH

Our rodeo announcer Tyson Pietsch comes from Buck Lake, Alberta. With him he brings over 30 years of experience and a CPRA Gold Card!
While attending Mount Royal College (studying Broadcasting) he participated in Bull riding practices and soon realized he was better at talking about bulls than riding them!
His enthusiasm and the love of the sport can be heard through his voice during any event. He loves travelling to the many events across Western Canada and always enjoys reconnecting with his rodeo family! When he isn’t announcing rodeos, you can find him managing his small business, Winfield Feed and Farm Supply or trying to cross things off the “Honey Do List” for the family farm.
He’s looking forward to being a part of an awesome rodeo indoors in Williams Lake this Spring!
BARREL MAN & CLOWN – JAYSON CHARTERS

We are excited to welcome Jayson Charters as this year’s barrel man and rodeo clown. Jayson, a seasoned rodeo clown and performer, hails from Merritt, BC and is a proud member of the Okanagan-Thompson Nation.
With a career that began in steer riding at age 8, Jayson transitioned to bareback riding at 15 and competed on various senior rodeo circuits until his retirement in 2006. In 2009, he began his rodeo clown career, quickly gaining recognition and becoming a CPRA carded member the following year.
Jayson’s comedic routines and high-energy performances have taken him across British Columbia, Alberta, and beyond, including notable rodeos in Williams Lake, Merritt, and Jasper. Known for his eccentricity, athleticism, and love for entertaining the crowd, he’s especially proud to be a First Nations rodeo clown in BC.
With over 30 years in rodeo, Jayson continues to delight audiences, blending humor, spontaneity, and his passion for people and rodeo. For Jayson, rodeo isn’t just a sport—it’s a way to bring joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories to everyone in the stands.
DRILL TEAM – WEST COAST THUNDER

Drill Teams have been wowing rodeo crowds for years and West Coast Thunder is considered one of the more professional teams on the circuit. Most of their members have been riding together for many years and their bond has brought unity and precision to their performances.
They pride ourselves in their versatility as they have performed at not only rodeos, but horse shows, parades and private functions.
They are family oriented, range in age from “barely legal” to “old enough to know better” and always strive to maintain their professional conduct at any event. They practice year round at Thunderbird Show Park in Langley, and hold try outs for new members each November.
